finally got my donzi in the water... 1972 baby with a 1979 200 johnson on back... now trying props to find the right pitch... looks like it will be 25 or so....
as i learned on this site, the trim button is VERY dangerous over about 40 mph!!!!!!!!!!! no trim and it still flies!!! no radar but i think im near 60 with my good speedo (land and sea)
im working on a picture...

What hole do you have the engine set up on IE; how high above the transom. Helped set up a 16 with a 175 Evenrude. We ended up real high then it got pretty darn stable, lost a little of the hole shot. That had a 23 that had a very heavy cup turned 5300. Hope that helps alittle.

Another way to decrease the danger factor is to hang a Johnson 9.9 hp (long shaft) on the baby donzi!! Guarentee it will be safe then! Just kidding. I agree with Fasttruccker; I was thinking the same thing looking at some pics recently. They ought to make the old outboard again. They were sharp.

its on a jack plate (manual) power lift
it is very stable you just dont need as much trim as i was used to... it is really high with a nose cone and low water pick ups tourqe tab cut exhaust and solid mounts... i got the picture i have to load it in here

Sounds like a nice setup! Got a hunch you will get low 70's. Fun Rules!
(1) Get a grip!
(2) Maxinize smile!
(3) Pick the bugs out of your teeth later!
