Are chevy "pink" rods the same thing as chevy "powder" rods?

No . . . Correct me if I'm wrong, but actual pink rods were made back in the late '60s and early '70s for the LT-1 350 engine. These rods had a pink paint mark on them and that's why they were know as "pink" rods. On the other hand, powdered-metal rods are a relatively new thing and those rods are suppose to be all identical to each other in every way including weight and balance end to end. Powdered-metal rods make building a matched set of rod a "no brainer", but are they as good as a set of the old pink rods? Many say no.
