After extensive mods on sbc, cam, heads, intake and some internals, this engine pulls like a bear. First lake trial, ran it up to 4800 and motor shut down. restarted and got to 4600 and it shut down. The culprit had to be fuel. Ran it up to rpm again and noticed fuel pressure went from 7 to 2 1/2 lbs. Using a holley (blue) elec. fuel pump, about a year old. Maybe someone out there can recomend a reliable elec. pump. After 30 yrs. of holley pumps and many premature failures it finally dawns on me to give another pump company my money. I am open for suggestions. Jim

Scott, I'm not familiar with a Merc inline . Does it come with a regulator to adjust psi? Where can it be purchased at? Is anyone familiar with a Mallory elec. pump with a factory preset of 7lbs? I just want to stay away from another Holley.
