OK everyone. Cliff and I went into a venture together recently and here is what we have. I know many of you have been wanting the original Donzi walnut shifter knobs with either the early (propeller) or late (lion over dolphin) insignias. Well, I'm pleased to announce that we have them both!

They will be ready in about six to eight more weeks.

A little about the knobs. These things are absolutely beautiful! They are exact in every way to the originals but built to last.

A few things that we did better:

#1. The Donzi Marine insert is Cloisonne (melted glass) over solid brass and then 24K gold plated. The original ones were only Hard enamel over brass. The Cloisonne is UV resistant.

#2. The knob itself is still walnut but has been coated with a 2 part Polyurethane with a UV inhibitor. The original ones were coated in clear lacquer.

#3. The threaded inserts that are being used - they are all stainless! The original ones were pot metal.

Like I said - they are beautiful and built to last!

We are taking orders now. The price for each complete knob including a stainless jamb nut is $100.00 plus $10.00 shipping. The shipping price includes a properly packaged item and full insurance.

Like I said - They will be ready to ship in about six to eight weeks. So place your orders now. Once we run out, I don't know when we will make them again. Please leave a post here so we know who you are and what style you want.

Thanks!

Hey guys...

Do us a favor... We are going to keep a spreadsheet to figure how many we are going to need to have of each insignia. If you say you want one, please state which one you are interested in.

Thanks.

can you do a white ball with the lion?

If you have a nice white knob I'm sure we can do something. It will have to be large enough to fit the insert. I'm sure we could do something.

I'd like to put the morse stuff back in my 67 and I'd definately need a propeller knob to match the rest if the stuff. Biskit

If I ever finish the St Tropez this would be a nice touch...I believe the prop logo would be most appropriate for a '66 huh ?
BTW... I have the standard Morse top mount single lever binnacle control which has'nt been re-designed for years...is this the same thread size as the original Donzi side mount control ?

Scott, I would like to have the NOS shifter, provided you still have it. Also, one of the beautiful wood knobs with the prop logo. I e-mailed you a couple weeks ago on this.
Thanks, Dave O.

You guys beat me to my winter project. :( Care to sell an insert or two? wink

The propeller logo is the only one for a true "classic" boat. eek!

Ski Blu and Frank,
Scott and I have decided that we are not going to sell components of these shifter knobs. Just the complete knob.
We MAY however, and I do stress the word "may" make some semi-custom knobs in the future. Maybe some exotic woods, but it get's too time consuming and cost prohibitive to make a different knob for everyone.
