33zx drive options [Archive] - The Donzi Registry

Hello all. I have a 33zx Daytona with twin 500EFIs and bravo one outdrives. In looking at the geometry of the boat, it appears that I could benefit from a 1 or 2" reduction on my lower drive units. Has anyone tried this on their 33 or 38 ZX's?

not on my 33 but I did lift the drive 1" on my 28zx and it was to far. The 28 had an agressive x dimention already. But I would like to hear the answer about lifting the drives on a Daytona. Will the extention boxes make a diff.

Well, I will let you know if I proceed. When running a straight line from the hull back to the outdrive, it appears that I am 3-4" too much in the water. At least that is the consencus from the boys at the marina. I do of course have extension boxes, but they all agree that to take adventage of this, I need to come up an inch or tow. You know how opinions are....
