Steve has said that this was a great story, but a $ucke% up interpetation on the magazines' part, but here is a "story" that IS great and shows the committment to these boats, (Aronows) that all of us share.

Steve, I hope you are OK with me posting this. If I see negative feedback on your part with regards to this post I will blow it away. Thanx again :) ... Lenny

What a great story! That makes me want to call the guy I sold my 25 sport to, and buy it back.
Thanks for the post.

Brownie did you have anything to do with that design?

Thanks Lenny , No problem with that at all... Can you actually read that as it appears on the screen though ? Not that I have to but it shows up like miniature fragmented Chinese characters.. :D

MC, put your mouse over the page and it will give tou an "enlarge" option...then it is 8 1/2 x 11.

I knew that sounded familiar. I read it in the Magazine when it came out. I thought "what a great boat and a great place to enjoy it".

Thanks for the endorsement folks.
I guess that we all know that any boat restoration project that involves outside help has it's share of problems. We had some major bloopers in ours. Brett did a pretty good job of mentioning all but one of the major players names, however you might have picked up on that the guy who sprayed the boat and the engine supplier (who happened to be brothers) were deliberately ommited ! We should have taken them to court. Also we had a separate problem with Merc when they supplied a different engine than what we ordered. This led to a chain of events that ended up with us swearing we would NEVER buy a Merc again. This was a problem caused by Merc and even the highest office in the land could'nt resolve it.To this day we still don't have an invoice for the engine  !
Brett wanted to run this as a side story but we were still trying to reach a resolution... should have done it after all ..
Also not in the story was how after we were well into the project and it was shaping up nicely I get a phone call from a guy who says he still owns the boat .. not the guy we bought it from :eek!: .... our titling laws are a bit simpler here and we fortunately fixed this in 24 hours, but it was a bit scary for a while !

Don't want to get into what's happened since then :D
