The next time you go to change your impeller check to see if Globe formerly Barco makes one for your application. They are the most dependable impeller money can buy, and guess what in most cases cost the same as OEM which we all know last a season then should be changed out.

Forgot a P.S. my impeller is three years old, pulled it last night inspected it and put it back in was absolutely brand new cost me a gasket. You can run these things dry for 10-15 minutes (not rcommended) but some time you wan to pop it off a few seconds to see if it starts.

Globe impellers are the only impellers I use. You can buy 'em online at a discount http://www.boatfix.com.

The Globe p/n for Mercrusier R, MR, and Alpha is 1000; for Mercuriser belt-driven pumps is 2000; and for the Johnson F6B-9 crank driven pump is 100V.

Out local supplier Light House Marine has replacement Crank (Volvo style pumps) I think they are now made by Sherwood. So they should be easy to find.

the coast gaurd and navy only use them and you can run them dry for 10-15 minutes....
