Bring some carb cleaner to the lake. I always had a problem with the 830 Holly first time out in the spring.
If she idles poorly spray the cleaner in the small orifices in the top of carb during a fast idle. If the idle is still bad, remove the idle screws (with engine off). Count the turns so you can reinstall at the same depth. If I remember correctly I only used 2 corners of the four corner idle.

1 other important checklist item - see that your fire extinguisher is fully charged. I needed to replace mine.

Rick - what do you mean your headed to the lake - I was really counting on you washing and waxing Genuine Trouble for me. She still looks sad after sitting all winter.
