Greeting all. What a find this board is for me. Seems well run, and lots of knowledge.

I just bought my Donzi this spring, keep it just the other side of NYC, but it's already been to Maine and Lake George.

I was hoping somebody could direct me to a good source of shop manuals for my boat. What is available and where to get them! I like to do some of my own work, and hate to admit I know little about these fancy smhancy new engines.

Thanks all (for the posts already absorbed), and I hope to sea some of you "out there" in the spring!

Pete

Welcome!
Clymer and Sealoc have Merc manuals but, make sure they cover your engine. They are available from West or Boat US.
The best manuals come from Merc but their a little pricy.

Lake George has a very active Donzi Club. Fasteddie is the president, watch for his posts.

Hi Pete (Welcome) From what part of NJ. I am down at Toms River. You should take a ride down to Barnegat bay to one of the NJPPC events with me and Geo in the summer.

PeteL,

Welcome to the only spot you'll ever need! It's nice to have a new member of the family join in our lives.

Hope to see you at the Lake George Rendezvous and maybe even the Lake Winnie one in Maine.

Thanks for buying a Donzi!

E-Bay is a pretty good source for cheap factory manuals, search under "mercruiser". The last one I bought cost $9 and was in pretty good shape.

Thanks for the welcome.

FASTEDDIE, looks like I just missed your event last year. I was there a couple of weeks later (have pix of frost on the boat). I have to time this years visit more carefully.

Frank, I'm in Westfield. Haven't dropped the Donzi in the bay yet. I'd like to meet up this summer!

Mike, I'll look them up! Great to see Donzi support on the board.

Rick, good idea. Forrest, thanks for the link. I know that marina in Maine. They service Fidelity (George Bush Sr. Cigarette, though I haven't seen it out in a couple of years). I'm going to give them a ring. Price sure looks right.

Thanks again.

Pete-If you run across a guy in a Royal Blue X-18 with CT numbers on the white above his strakes-DON'T race him for "pink slips".......

What mischief can a little 18 Donzi with a small block Chevy be up for? http://www.donzi.net/ubb/rolleyes.gif GEOO

Don't embarrass the Newbie, guys. I can barely hold on at this point! It's just a stocker, don't pick on the red/white 22 in NY harbor / Hudson.

Now if anybody would like to run for beers (Makers, etc.), I'm in. http://www.donzi.net/ubb/biggrin.gif (no loose situation).

GEOO, how fast is that Donzi of yours?
