Morse control

I am trying to find a new handle for my Morse control does any one know if the STB control handle is the same as the old MV1 used in the Donzis. From what I can see in the picture they look similar .

I have already been to the morse sight and it is no help. I was hoping to find someone who has done the handle swap from one to the other because I can easily get one for a STB set up

Call Morse-- My 81 criterion and my 71 Corsican are the same. They both look the same as my sisters 1966 16 sporster. looked at the site and it is useless for what you want. If your handle is pitted just have it rechromed.

It will be hard to re chrome I believe it is a aluminum handle and I can't get it off without cutting it .The set screw is so rusted that I can't get it out. so I drilled the set screw but the handle is frozen to the shaft.

Get some penetrating oil preferably Kroil and a propane torch. Heat, oil, heat, oil etc. How I got mine apart.

Chris this is crazy! I think the handle from the Morse STB shifter is the same. Check it out. http://www.morsecontrols.com/marine/STB.html I am just trying to varify that if so I am just going to replace it!

I think Freeport Marine has the 'S' shifter on display.
