Has anyone noticed a diffrence in the quality of resins between manufactures, or is resins the same regardless of who made it? More specificaly has anyone used US Composites vinyl ester? The prices seem to good to be true, 119.00 for 5 gallons verses 90.00 a gallon thru a local marina.

Geee's you guys pay alot up there, I buy Isothalic
resin (very very good stuff and the most expesive)
for $74.00 per 5 gal.
Yes there is a differance in manufactures, some brands really stink! Not good bonding/ or hardening, uneven kicking and much more.

There is a BIG difference in resin quality. That is why some boats last forever and some blister/de-lam and such quickly. I use these guys (http://www.ashchem.com/home/index.asp?nav_id=2) for my stuff.
