Engine miss question

Diagnostic question:
At idle speed I am having an intermittent engine skip. Only happens every 15-30 seconds and only skips one time. No mutiple skips. Do not hear or feel it at speed. No blip on the tack. This symptom would lead me to suspect a bad plug wire or spark plug. Am I on the right track? How do you check the plug wires? Any other ideas on the problem would be appreciated.

You're on the right track, start with the simplest things first. You can check that by pulling spark plug wires off while its running and see if the miss changes or stays the same.(if you have any insulated wire pullers use them to prevent getting shocked!) I would pull the plugs first though and check them. Good luck:)
