4.3L Modification

Just got word that the insurance co. will pay for a new, not rebuilt motor to replace the mechanics error. The hose was never put into the water pump.
Any suggestions as to tricking out the motor before installation? Or cleaning out the bilge area? 16 Classic any suggestions for the two broken engine hatch latches?

port and polish the heads and run a 4brl carb prpbably get you about 250hp.

i have asked this question on a 4.3 a few times and am told it is not worth it, and to go with a 350ci before anything is done.

Can you roll that dow into a 305 or better yet a 350. The classic push rod 350 is the most hot rodded motor ever and every after maket performance builder sells them. I bet it would be more cost effective than a V6.
