To All Club Members

Our 7th Annual Lake George Donzi Classic Club Spring Dust Off will take place on Saturday, June 15th, 2002 at the Algonquin Restaurant in Huddle Bay at Bolton Landing ,New York.

Donzi Weekend Schedule is as follows:

Friday night 7PM-Welcoming at the Algonquin Restaurant& bar,cocktails and get to know everyone get together.

Saturday 10 AM-11AM. Show docking at the Algonquin docks and please follow the Dockmasters directions. Last miniute cleaning and polishing of your boat and register your boat at the registration table for Judging. Affix your Owners sticker to windshield so Public and judges will know who owns boat. Please also vote for your favorite boat under "Peoples Choice" Award ballot box. Docks are open to public so be prepared for large crowd to see and vote for your boat.

11AM to 1PM-Judges will score all ballots in all catagories and report findings and suggested award appointments. Air Show will be preformed by Club member Dale Evans above boat show.

12Noon-1PM-Lunch in upstairs dining room order off standard menu. Raffle tickets and club items such as new Donzi Flags, hats and 2002 Club tee shirts will be available for your purchase.

1PM. Meeting starts promptly, this years guest speaker will be Jason Saris from Performance Marine Service. He will discuss ways to increase your horsepower and performance of your Donzi boat and discuss pricing and other options available for you to consider. From how to choose the correct Prop to pros and cons of installing Whipple Superchargers will be discused. Club raffle plus special auction follows. Awards will be then given to winners in all catagories. At end of meet, all drivers report down to there boats at the docks for the call "Ladies and gentlemen,start your engines". Listen to 15000 horsepower start up all at once. Open boating on the Lake from then on till dinner.

7 PM Saturday Evening-Meet in Bolton Landing at Cate's Italian Garden across fron Town Hall for dinner. Great food plus warm surroundings with Donzi friends.

Sunday 10:30 AM- All boats meet at in the water off Sagamore Hotel for Lake Cruise up North. Don't miss this. It is the most fun to cruise up through the 200 Islands and see the most beautiful scenery in the world. Possible Lunch stop At Indian Kettles Restaurant. On trailers at 3 Pm and headed home.

Important Tips. Be at the Algonquin Restarant early on Saturday. Last year late comers were closed out of dock space. Once meeting starts there is no dock help for you because they are upstairs at the meeting too.
Gas up for weekend events when you launch. We can't wait while you start looking for gas on Sunday morning. We leave for cruise at 10:30 AM sharp and you need a full tank to cruise up and down the 32 miles.

Very Important. Make sure that you buy a Lake George Park Commission sticker for your boat,It is required to cruise the Lake and only $7.50 for the weekend. Most Marina's sell them. Get them Friday if you can.
Always wear your Lifejacket and hook up your kill switch to be safe.
Camera's and sunblock a must. Have a safe trip here.

Is there any place to stay near by cheep just for to nights . Maybe come up for the events friday night. Go home Sunday afternoon.

Ralph,
It would be great if you could come but, in my experience, unless you are willing to sleep on the floor of someone elses room, stuff up there is hard to find on short notice. There is a Holiday inn local. Call them and see if there are any cancellations. We booked ours almost a year ago.
