I CAME ACROSS A 19' HORNET , IT'S MOSTLY WHITE
WITH REDISH/BROWN STRIPE AND INTERIOR , IT HAS A V-DRIVE WITH A BIG CHRYSLER ENGINE . ALSO NOTICED THE ENGINE VENTS HAVE DONZI PRINTED ON THEM IT LOOKS ALL THERE . EXHAUST MANIFOLD SAY REPLACEMENTS ON THEM , LAST REGISTERED IN 2001 MD .

Knowing that it's a 19 Hornet, that would make it 1967 to 1976. Also, most of the V drives were built early on with only a few being built in the 1970s. My guess would probabaly put it in the '67 to '71 range.

GOSSIP TALK WAS SAID TO BE A 1966. IT HAS LEFT HAND STEERING AND A MORSE LEVER WITH WALNUT KNOB WITH DONZI PROPELLER EMBLEM ALSO HAS TRIM TABS. HAS A REAL LOW PROFILE WIDSHIELD THAT LOOKS ORIGINAL.OUTSIDE ON THE LEFT DOWN LOW LOOKED LIKE A GAS VENT ? REAR 2 PIECE HATCH HAD 2 TWIST DONZI KNOBS ONE IN FRONT ONE IN REAR TO SECURE HATCH . THE LIFT RINGS WERE DIFFERANT LOOKING ALSO SORT OF LIKE CROSS HAIRS WITH THE TOP AND BOTTOM MISSING , WITH LONG ENDS . WHAT ELSE WOULD HELP ?

1966 would make it a bench seat boat I believe. This is not a bench is it?

Does it look like this one?

-------Vents with DONZI imprinted on them were only used for a short period as far as I can tell.Possibly from 1970 to 1973,maybe less.Maybe only 1971.If they havent been switched from another boat this will start to pin things down a bit..............Bill S

Before anyone starts breathing too hard, the boat is not for sale. I recently purchased it and the boat is on the way to Lake George. Hopefully it will be in shape for the dustoff in 2004. It is titled as a 1971, Hornet V-Drive with a Mopar 440 sixpack. I will be happy to post photos in a few weeks and enter the documentation in the registry

Congrats on the new boat! Was this the one that was slightly mis-priced in the Trader Ad? I'm sure I'm not the only one that called on the $6,900 V-drive Hornet.... :D :D

You guys are both correct. The stripes and bench seat were repainted sometime back and the original windshield chopped. It hasn't been used in 2 years but fired right up.
