I know this is the place to get all the answers. We got the old orange monster fired up yesterday, after sitting on a stand out of the boat for nine months it only took a couple of hours to fire up, all our new engineering on the nightmare water pump and the installation of new everything came up damn near flawless. The oil pressure gauge is not working, it and the sender are both new, the carb needs to be rebuilt again, and we have a miss in one cylinder. We think this is a combination of the carb and maybe the points. I am considering switching to electronic ignition. Not bad for a first effort!

I am going to be installing a new rub rail this week and need to know the best was to do it. The stuff is not that flexible and I want to get the bends right. I'm sure a few of you guys have done it and can clue me in.

Thanks

Definetly lose the points, especially if you are prone to leaving the key on like I am.

I haven't done rub rail yet, so I'll follow your lead. :)
