Does anyone know of any good solid 16 Classics or Ski Sporters for sale for 4000$ or less? I am selling my land vehicles, a 1993 Thunderbird LX (159k asking 1500$) and a 1992 Ford Ranger XLT extended cab (109k, asking 2000$). And might be able to scrape together 4k. I would like it to be in decent shape, needing mostly TLC, not a lot of money, trailer and running motor are necessary.

Thanks for any info,
Tommy

Tommy, where you live I am SURE someone will find you a project. This will be one of the most fun times in your life to look back on. Find a boat, cheap, don't worry about the finish, get it running dependably, and be the topic of many for years to come and an inspiration for all the rest like you...(and me) wink

Something will show up, someone will help you here. I would if I could but I can't...They don't "grow" here and when they do you hide them. FAST

You can always save up a few bills between now and next summer to tow the thing. If not, you will have NO trouble finding people to "take you to the river".

Boats have a clear advantage in summer.

Best of Luck

Lenny

Wishing I had a DONZI when I was 17...

It's not a 16, but it looks like a decent hull, that needs power.

That Formula listed above looks like a smokin' deal, and it's close to you and fresh water usage...

check it out, make an offer, ya never know...

Thinking about this, If someone does have a hull -power, I could get a motor from local people swapping out for bigger.

Formula looks nice, but would like something a bit more stylish and a closed bow.

Keep searchin the adds. My first 16 was 4k with a new 260 Mercruiser. Just needed a lot of cosmetics. Back in '95 I bought a real nice 1965 16 for 2500 without a motor. Built a 300 hp small block for less than 600 with some help from friends.
