Finially threw in the white flag and took my boat to the boat doctor. found the cut out switch and the over stroke switch were out of adjustment. they adusted them and I took it back on the lake that evening. Ran worse than before. They are telling me that the cables aren't stretched and want to dive deeper in to the engine. Problem( no power, can't get on plane, engine dies when trying to stomp on it) seems to be getting worse as season goes on. Here's what has been checked:

spark advance - fine
tune up (wires, plugs, cap, and rotor button)- done
fuel pressure and filter - done
ignition cut out switches - adjusted
fuel - different grades and brands along with treatments
props - can get on plane with a 13 pitch. could earlier in year with 17 pitch

To make matters worse, parents bayliner walks away from my donzi. theirs is 2 foot longer!!! How embarassing.

Any more suggestions before I put a 44 mag thru it and sink it?

Thanks!

found out what it was. worn shift cable causing the ignition interrupt switches to take a cylinder out. The shift cable was not replaced under a recall.
