hose reduction

The last bit of plumbing I have left is the hose from the raw water pump to the thermostat housing. It comes out of the pump 1 1/4 and goes into the housing 1". Any ideas? I have looke dfor a reducer but can not seem to find one. My boat is getting real close. Maybe a week or two at the most.

Many Mercruiser molded hoses are 1" ID with molded 1-1/4" ID ends. Just find one of those hoses that bends in the right direction and you are in business.

You could also put piece of 1" hose about 1.5" long over on the nipple, then slide the larger hose over it and clamp it. I'd use RTV or Permatex on the nipple and between the hoses, but this should work just fine...
