Owen, did you ever manage to get pic's of the
F-22?
I remember a fella here with one, a big block and twin turbo's. It surely must be worth a link to, at least establish the concept?...don't ya think?... I can't do this computer stuff...

Why they did'nt just call this a Criterion of some sort is a mystery. I mean its a 2+3 Criterion essentially. With a two year production run, this has got to be an ultra rare boat.

I have no idea of the actual production numbers, but a reasoned guess would place it under 20 made. That guess is made assuming demand and production capacity of that time frame.

They didn’t call it a Criterion for the simple reason its not a Criterion, it’s a Classic with a high stern. They would have been better to call a Minx a F-21. The only thing that is the same is the basic hull and the engine package option. They produced them during the same time period. The fact remains it’s a neat boat.

The Classic 22 2+3 didn't arrive till a year after the F2 and The Criterion II. The F2 and
the Criterion II were made in the the same two years, '79 - '80. They share the same hull, engine and drive, and more importantly the aft deck treatment is identical to my eye.

And finally the F2 aft deck

Aside from the name, what makes a "Criterion" a Criterion? I wonder if the F2 has the extended
thru hull exhaust? Or if it had a wind shield that was an extented version of the Criterion II's wind shield.

A least with this boat we know where the Minx design form came from. But that was five years later. The main question is, "Does this boat get grouped with the Criterions," or is there
something other than the Name that makes it completely different than that family of
boats? Part of the All Donzi List's goal is to show design evolution and derivitive models.
The F2, to me, is clearly part of that family, and should be included as a Criterion design.
