I too should be getting my first Donzi early next week. Having a 1994 22'Classic checked out from Ft Lauderdale. Its yellow with new 502 bravo drive. I've put a deposit down and if every checks out ok its mine. If anyone knows anything about this boat I'd love to hear about it now.
I've been looking at the 22' Classics since a year ago Feb. Thats when I first saw one at local boat show.

Congrats On the new Boat...Mine has 502 as well but white with yellow. I hear the engines are very reliable. I must however wait till warmer weather till I let mine cook for the first time. If you get out before me let me know. :D

We had the 502 Mag in our last boat (not a Donzi - oops!). Reliable as a brick. I had heard that the 502 tended to use oil, but that was not my experience. Ran Mobil 1 pure synthetic 15W-50 after the first change and never had a problem. Strong motor.

My only bitch is that the standard Merc oil filter mount puts the oil filter with the open end down - friggin' impossible to change the filter without getting oil all over everything. Remote mount with the filter screwing "up" is much better, IMHO.

CONGRATS, now bring it to KY for the AOTH II.

I put a nail hole in the top of the filter and come back an 1/2 later and it is empty.

I echo the other posts... 22 classic + 502, that is what I dream of. You will love it, see you at AOTH II --Brad
