A friend of mine ,I call him "one speed _____" the same guy who I quote"I never lose a race because I never slow down" has a minx.He shared this story with me.
I was running down the chanel with one passenger not going to fast maybe 50 jumping off one 4 or 5 footer leaping over one and landing on the face of the next one, you know how short and steep they can get when the wind is blowing agaist the current. One jump I went all most over two waves but caught my out drive on the top of the second one this brought the nose down in a hurray and sideways two. The side of the steep V landed flat and skipped me like a spoon.
When I think of this story I really can amagine the boat landing flat and skipping like a stone,we can get some steep stuff in the shipping chanels with the current ,wind and sand bars.
The bond between the deck and the hull failed and broke the top 6 inches of glass of the hull, the motor mounts failed and the motor landed in the bildge.
The boat was repairable.
You may want to pay extra attention the that hull to deck joint if you want to be "one speed_____" proof.

SS18,
Your boat is going to be awesome! I wish I had the skills you and some of these other Donzi guys have. I can barely change a battery.
Please send more pics as your project progresses.
May the sun and clock align favorably!

Matty,
Saw the picture of you and a friend on greenday
having a high time!Smiles abound! Still some openings here for rent never too late!
Stix,
Don't be intimidated start with something small and master it! The next time it will get smaller.
Donzified,
Going to try to obtain some plexus to put the two together and glass the deck to hull and floor to stringer where ever possible.
I'm going to repower with a new 350 with a few hp upgrades since I don't want increase weight and stress with big block I think?

Thanks for the encouragement!

PS.Started the 18's freshened engine today and am
still in awe at the even louder exhaust!going to launch soon to adjust shift on new x dim ss drive :D
