What's the best way to get paint to stick to the outdrive? I have Latham external steering on my Bravo and the cap where the steering ram attaches to the drive is flaking off large pieces of paint. Regular spray paint (zinc chromate & phantom black) don't seem to last.

Thanks for the info. Might take a little work. It's a shame since only the cap is flaking. Marcdups - you may be right about the stainless. I'll have to look closer next time I'm down at the boat.
