Are the cockpits the same overall size in an 18 as in a 16?
Is the rear lifting ring structurally suitable for towing skiers?
Who killed Don and why?

Brownie, during your management of Donzi, were there any one-off or extremely rare models that we don't know about? For example, I had never heard of the Baby Donzi and F-14 models till they showed up on this board. Did Donzi ever make a sailboat? What is your favorite production Model.

Owen,
Maybe I dreamt this, but didn't Donzi make three different models of the Donzi Dink and one of them was a Sailboat?

THAT IS A STOCK 19' HORNET WITH A "PHONY COBRA" THAT WE RATED AT 271 HP. I DON'T RECALL THIS PARTICULAR BOAT, BUT IT IS NOTHING SPECIAL.

Aren't the single seat hornets kinda rare?...surely one of the coolest boats ever made.

Uhhhh...
I am a bit uptight with Allen's remark about John's Hornet. Regardless of what John Claims he has under the hood. That is one fine example of Donzi.
Period.
End of disscussion.
Anyone out there got something better????????????
BTW, I am in a bit of a mood tonight. See separate post.

IF YOU NOTICED THE BOAT NUMBER ON THE HORNET, IT WAS 19-35H, WHICH IS THE 35TH HORNET AT THAT TIME. WE USED A DIFFERENT NUMBER ON THE ST TROPEZ, WHICH IS THE SAME HULL WITH AN OPEN, CENTER CONSOLE DECK. THE FIRST HORNET WAS MY RACEBOAT, #69. I SOLD IT TO GEORGE NEWMAN, WHO MADE ME PROMISE TO RIDE WITH HIM IN THE AROUND ST PETE RACE IN 1965. HE WASN'T QUITE UP TO THE TASK, AND WHEN WE CAME OUT OF THE BAY IN THE GULF, WE DID TWO CHANDELLES, AN IMMELMAN, AND A TEXTBOOK END OVER END FLIP. HE BROKE BOTH COLLARBONES, (COMPOUND) AND I GOT A FINE SPIRAL CRACK IN MY RIGHT FEMUR. OTHER THAN THAT, IT RAN PERFECTLY. IT WAS THE FASTEST STOCK PLEASURE BOAT IN THE WORLD, AT 70MPH WITH A 327 TURBO DAYTONA CHEVY ON V-DRIVE.
