Welllll after investigation i found i have the 217 cylinder heads on the 350 which are what GM put on the 300 hp 350 HO crate motor. Anyone have any experience with these as far as performance potential. Didn't the 350 Mag make 330 crankshaft HP before the change to Vortec cylinder heads? If the 217's are only capable of 300 hp i really don't want to keep them... I havn't been able to find much info on them other than what i just blabbed out here. any help is appreciated... i need some knowledgable opinions cause spring is comin and i need to get parts ordered!!! wink

and THE CAMSHAFT question is answered... according to the dial indicator... the 210 hp 350 has .015 in less lift than published numbers so i reckon there's less duration also which is the real power killer. ok nough worthless babble for the morning.. just didn't feel like working.. is it friday yetttt????
