Hey Guys,
The main purpose of this post is to see if I can add an image to a post! But, the subject is pertinent as I was curious about this anyway. How many of you old Volvo owners still have the old Holman Moody Outdrive Plate that I am hopefully going to post a picture of below??...
(Question is still answerable even if I screw it up!)...

Craig,
I have a 1969 18' 2+3 Holman Moody Classic and my Volvo 250 has the HM plate that you are trying to show. I wish I could help you show the picture, but I couldn't get my pictures to work either. There is plenty of experience at this web site. Someone will get it for you.

Hey What do you know, it worked!! So how many still have the old plate on the outdrive? I think they're cool looking and I would think somewhat non-replaceable. Took mine off so it wouldn't get lost or stolen. Put a normal 270 plate on. To my surpirse, they still sell them "new" so I got one. They look pretty neat too, but the old HM plate is more of a conversation piece.

Craig and Gang.
You're trying to use the album list URL from Photopoint. You need to use the specific URL for that pic with the img command. To find that pic's specific URL just keep clicking on the photo till its presented on the screen all by it's self. Or use the HTTP URL address given by Photopoint when the image is being viewed alone with the side menu.

Craig,
Did you get your new one from Holman Moody or from Donzi? If what Craig says is true, it doesn't look like we need to reproduce the plate unless you guys buy them all.

Ok. Sounds good Chris. First lets see how many of you guys want them. Then we will go from there.

Boldts,
The new plate I referred to was just the old ordinary Volvo 270 plate. You know the blue and silver ones that were on bazillions of old Volvo drives. Says 270 for a 270, 280 for a 280, etc. I just got it from a Volvo dealer to have something there, but the old HMM one, I would think, is long, long out of production. I just meant I was kind of surprised that they still even had the Volvo 270 plates available (new). Still a good drive, but they're getting pretty old too.

Owen,
Forgot to say thanks for the tip re: Photopoint. If I ever become "semi-proficient" on computers and people ask me where I attained all of my computer knowledge, I'll be able to say "On the Donzi page!"

Add me to the list, gotta fix Mustang Sally up before I sell her this Spring, and she's nekkid, as far as an outdrive plate, that is!
Thanks, Kevan

Scott, have you been able to make any progress on reproduction these plates? I'm still interested, and I think there were quite a few others interested as well.

Well, it looks like there is some interest on these things. Someone send me one and I can go from there. I think Chris had one that was a nice piece. Let me know.

Chris,

You name the day! Would love to have you. Haven't gotten very far on the boat. Been very busy. Going to get nuts on it after the first of the year. Have to get it done by the Lake George Dust off.

Let me know when you want to come down.

Scott Pearson:

Were you ever able to get the sample plate from Chris? It looked like there were quite a few of us who would purchase a repro. If you don't have enough yet to make it economical, I will help make up the difference. I would sure like to have one of these before next summer!

Rob,
I never recived the plate from Chris. Chris, you coming down for a beer soon? If I was him I would stay in NY. I might put him to work down here on the money pit they call a Donzi. I have to make the Lake George show so I have been working on this thing like crazy. I couldn't just leave the motor black...so I painted it the same color as the boat with alot of other painted detal. Looks awsom!

If I get the plate I will see if it can be made. Im sure it won't be a problem.
