Write your comments here, then do this
http://www.CDMA's_pictures_are_here.com (but without spaces between anything.)
Look at "adding images" under the link "*UBB code is ON" which is located on the side of the page.
Basically you're just adding the prefix and suffix to the web address of your pic.

Something's funny with the link you have posted. Maybe try going to the picture itself, then opening, then rt. clicking, then choosing properties, then copy the link or URL, then add the "img" brackets to the front and rear of the address.

Just need to change the last "img" to look like this
[/img]
Have to add that forward slash or back slah or whatever slash, just make it the same way as the one above.
First brackets are
last bracket is

46 holes in the deck-
20 in hull
over 100 scratches on starboard side
Rot in rear seat
torn up stringers....
It was funnnnnnnnn......
Thanks Chris,
Now I realize how dull my boatlooks. http://www.donzi.net/ubb/frown.gif
George,
I did my paint start to finish. Yours can easily ( relative of course) look just as good.... Just say when.
Chris
I did the resto work in a combination of a few places.
A cover-it shed behind my house
A friends barn
And the location you see. It is an industial building used originally as the maintainance for the plow viecheles used on the Grumman runways. Friend of my dad now owns it and uses it to build large sign structures for highways. 8 Kenworth size bays and a 20 ton overhead rolling gantry crane.

What happened to the grab rails?
BERTRAM BOY
Those pictures were taken the first weekend in. You will notice no rails, bow lifting eye, kill switch in dash, steering center cap, fuel tank sender cover or a few other misc parts. Slowly they are being added but now the boat looks very different. It is very much dissassembled now. The deck is literally ready to come off. Engine, transom housing and drive gone...awaiting BB

Chris, I love the shot of the boat hanging off the lifting rings. Looks like a model boat. Great Job. My garage is almost done for my Donzi. GEOO

Chris,
Any plans to add the Black stripe and boot stripe back on the boat? Would you like to restore my 18' Classic if I decide not to buy the 21'Minx I found? That yellow is just toooo HOT. My comp screen began to melt while looking at your Donzi. Great job!
If you look in the pictures of it hanging from the ceiling you can see the stripe was sanded and ready to be shot. I even have the paint. I was going to... I mean I was really close...but I just liked it plain and was like I could always add it. So I left it. Now I love the way it looks. I have no plans to add the stripe. I love the way it looks with out it. Just personal preference.

CDMA,
Awsome job .The boat just jumps right at you.It really does look great without the stripes.Sort of monochromatic.Funny thing is,even without decals, stripes and chrome, nobody whos ever spent a summer day on the water going fast would ever mistake it for anything other than a DONZI!!!!!!I know the steering wheel is stock but you need to find an old cal custom black one to carry on the theme. They may even still make them.Mooneyes might have them ,come to think of it!...........just........ol red!

CDMA,
As I had a mooneyes catalog thought I would look it up for myself as well as you.Low and behold, they have a black gloss as well as a black cushion grip(good idea maybe?)Spokes are chrome, not stainless, but the price is so reasonable at $32 bucks you could get a new one every season if necessary.Catalog NOs. are GS802(gloss)GS838(cushion)and PH.is 800-547-5422.Happy floating...........just.........ol red!

Wow Chris! Loooks great! I can tell that you did a lot of work to get it there. Will we see you and you Donzi in Orlando?

Forrest
Forrest,
My guess is you will see me in Orlando but not the boat. Just too much time to get down there.
Chris
Will be at lake george though
After crazy research I settled on a paint called glasurit. I narrowed it down to 3 paints and settled on this one because my friend who helped me was very familiar with it and sprayed it about 4 times a year. So that was the straw that broke the cammels back.

Looks "wunderful". Great job. On the engine cover, the hold downs, what years did Donzi offer the centered round knob with the Large Donzi enscription on it? It was a large push and turn thing. Blewbyu had one on his engine cover on his X-18 when I looked at it last weekend and I haven't seen them before.
I have seen that push button thing you refer to on all boats after 73. I like it better but expensive and not the way my boat was than again it was a Ford too so that argument is out.
Rick,
Engine is sitting. Have some stuff to do on the boat first but right now #1 priority is school and having a tough time so the 454 can wait. What happens with it depends on time and money second semester.
