Gas tank size

I allways thought my 77 X 18 had a 20 gal. tank. Yesterday it took 21.7 gal. to fill up. What do you think? Maybe its a 22 gal. tank.

My 73 X18 has a 25 gallon tank.
I think this was standard until they changed to 40 gallons.
