Wonder how many members got this E-Mail?

I got it too. If they are doing a mass mailout to members that is NOT COOL. I will ask them nicely to take all of our email addresses off their list.

I received it also. I have a question. Since the Midwest Donzi Club website contains an e-mail address for all the members, is there a way they can get all those e-mail addresses off of my site? Is there a way to protect against this happening?

BTW, I've always been a fan of Hawk Engines since the first time I was in Miami and they were located at Fort Apache. They gave us a nice detailed tour of the operation. Got to tour the Apache factory there also. I love the Indian Head boats, but they're a bit out of my size and price range. I love the lines of my Classic and it's trailerabillity. :D

I did NOT get it. Maybe Donzi.net isn't the source of their list or at least they don't have everyone. I am registered on that other board as well. Within hours (literaly) of registering there my SPAM rate went from 1-2 a week to dozens.

Scott B,

It is really easy to harvest email addresses from a website especially when they are all displayed on on page. If you notice the way this site is laid out there is "a" page with all emails on it. It would still be possible to get email addresses but not quite so easy. I would recommend
re-arranging your member page so that each email is on a single page with a persons info. On the main page list the persons name and city/state.

Hyper, you're everywhere, and with big post numbers, too! Dude, do you ever get away from the PC? wink

Oh and yea, I got it too, but I thought it was because I know ol' Todd who owns Hawk Power in Blountstown, which is about 30 miles from from where I live in Tallahassee. Hmmmmmm...

I did not get the engine email, but Hawk did send me a happy birthday email. I don't know anybody from Hawk.

Checking oil levels :) I wonder why...

Anyone need a 454 that went up in smoke?

PoodleZilla motor is okay.. it just left here a couple ounces low that's all, due to non-stop thrashing. wink

Interesting I got the email at work and not at home, but my email address on this site is my one at home, so I would specluate that the common link is not the Donzi site but some other site some of us have in common. Make sure you clean off your cookies regularly and deregister yourself from all the spam list email you get to try and control it.
