WAX

i just finished reading the two pages on wax-but nobody mentioned wether they were talking about gel-coat or paint finishes.

my boat is imroned and was told boat waxes (made for gel-coats) were too harsh and i should be using automotive waxes instead. they also recommended mother's first the cleaner wax and then the regular wax.

Most of my Buds with paint boats use clear coat wax, they say it has no abrasives and can be double and triple coated for a really deep shine up unlike regular waxes with abrasive cleaners.

For clear coat, Meguires clear coat cleaner,then their polish. Non clear coat,Collinite #840 pre wax cleaner, then their wax. Note Collinite wax does not have uv protectants, just use a sealer after waxing...Ed
