I've done a few searches and it seems most board members seem to prefer Stainless Marine considering the cost/performance ratio. But cost set aside who makes the best marine header?
And has anyone use the EMI Ford/Chevy exhaust adapter?

I would have to say CMI for workmanship, looks and performance.
I agree with Smoothie. I think CMI's are a beautifully engineered and executed piece. Cost no object something like a CMI sport tube is nice, on more of a budget CMI elbow tops are also nice.
That being said Stainless Marine makes an awesome product at a great price. I have them on my 18 and I love them.

Springs ...
I'm still catching up on this computer literacy stuff so I have'nt figured out how to post links yet ....
Go into a search engine..I like google..and enter "HiTek Stainless Steel Manifolds".
It should provide you with 2 links to enter. Like I said in a post to Aqualoony last week... Nothing like them on the market anywhere !
And your 'cost not a factor' insertion makes these eligible ! I just installed a set on my 502 MPI and before they leave Australia they cost about $3000 eek!
I don't think the pictures show them accurately enough though ,

Well with all that said I'm a happy camper. I just purchased a one year old set (never in salt) for $1000. I've got to buy the CMI chevy/ford adapter, buts it only $150. I hope all the measurements work out. Got my fingers crossed.

HOLD THE BOAT!
there is a chevy/ford adapter out there somewhere for the cmi headers?
please, enlighten me...
Moody like you I poked around a bit looking for small block ford exhaust, no adapters o real interesting stuff. Did find the two below, the first one may be something to explore the second one looks like a plain old log style. There is a ton of small block Fords it surprises me so little is made for them.

I had Stellings double walled stainless steel headers on my 22'. An absolute work of art, similar to CMI but they are one piece, no junctions.

Moody,
The only adapter I'm aware of is for BBC to BBF.
