I'm just bringing our old half cab up to scratch i was wondering if there is anyway possible to make a galvanised steel trailer shine like it is new??? Any secrets you guys have would be much appreciated, as the boat is looking like new, but the trailer lets it down a bit. All the galvanised trailers seem to lose their as new shine not long after being dipped in the water. Hope you can help!

I know what you mean, mine new trailer has only been in salt about 10 times. I have not seen anything that would perk them up outside of painting which has crossed my mind. Galvanized stuff holds paint very well once seasoned, when I was real young and installing rain gutters we would come back about two months later to paint. For some reason when new it does not hold paint, one of the more knowledgable metal boys needs to explain why.
