Is anyone running a K&N on a Mercruiser 350 MPI? I went to their site and they have no listing. I could swear I have seen someone running this on a 22zx. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just installed the K&N filter on my 350 MAG MPI last month. I will dig out the part number for you tonight when I get home. I got the part # from RANMAN who has the same engine.

Running a stock 350 mag mpi with the K&N what kind of gains are expected? Horsepower and torque wise? How much does the K&N system usually cost?

I purchased my K&N filter from CP Performance at a nice discount. I have included the link for your use. I paid $119.95 plus shipping of $11.73. I can not tell you about the performance gains until I get the boat back to sea level to compare. Randy (RANMAN) said he picked up 200 rpm. I do not know if you will pick up anything in the torque or HP department. I will give you some advice on instalation. There are two small torx screws on the bottom of the Merc. flame arrestor that need to be removed so that you can lift up on the stock arrestor to remove. When you remove the EGR tube from the side of the stock arrestor, just pull very hard to remove it, if you cut it off like I did, you may be just short of the perfect length to attach to the K&N. Use a stainless hose clamp to attach the EGR plastic tube to the side on the new filter. It has to run faster because it looks so cool. (Rule #1 from the go fast in a Donzi upgrade book. Unprinted, of course!)

Yes, I know that the above web link takes you to a part listed for the Merc. 454, 502 engines, but this is the right part for a 350MAG MPI, up to about 400 HP, after that you are on your own. This is a small filter for the 454/502's, but just right for the 350 MAG under the stock engine hatch.
(Trust me and the RANMAN)

That looks really great. If you say that part really does fit on a 350 i may have to order one for next season.....

This filter/inlet combination is not a standard K&N part #. The reason why is that the filter is a K&N part but the inlet adapter is a Hardin marine part. So make your life easy and spend the $119.00 for the two part combo and get the project finished. CP plans on changing their web site to reflect that this combo fits the 350MAG MPI. If I had a 6.2L, I would call CP and see if they could come up with a combo package like this one.

I run twin 350 Mags in my 28ZX but the setup for the flame arrestors looks different. Is anyone familiar with this? If I wanted to try the K&N setup how would it work? Is there a different K&N part/application?

Thanks! :D

I sent an E-mail to CP and they said they have nothing, I will have to look and take a pic of engine to see if what you did can help me too, or if there is another way i have to go for my boat

Zero on a stock 502 so even less on a 350....
