I have an electrical(bad ground)gremlin. The oil press. guage jumps and the charging guage shows low voltage on occasion, then you hit a wake and it all comes back to normal. What is the best way to chase down the connection problem? I have checked the guage connections, they are all on and snug. 88 Z 7.4/Bravo 1. The battery stays charged and all the functions work properly when this happens. The only item that doesn't work is the warning siren and sometimes it does and then doesn't.

You can trace it for a while or get it fixed one time fix it for sure. Take the ground wire from the engine/battery to a BUSS BAR, that you will place behind the dash panel. Run all your ground wires to this bar. Heat shrink them and your problem will probably go away. It will take you a while to do this task. (about 3 or 4 hours)Depends on how long you are panning to keep your boat.
