What a great way to start the season! My wife (Tami) and I spent 5/20 - 5/30 Donziflyin' around Banks Lake. http://206.150.187.82/ubb/cool.gif If any of you ever find yourself in North central Washington and want to have a great time on a huge lake with 95% natural shoreline with tons of sandy beaches and great views I highly recommend Banks Lake just south of the Grand Coulee Dam. In fact this is the reservoir created to irrigate the otherwise useless desserts of Eastern Washington some years after the Great Dam was built. Although it was a great week, on Memorial Day we were about a mile from the boat launch when I saw steam bellowing from under the dash. Turned out that the steam was a result of both the outboard bolt bosses breaking away on the right side exhaust riser. It was pretty windy, nobody close by and an oar just wasn't going to get our 22' Classic anywhere so I had to idle it back to the launch. Those of you experienced in these kind of matters most likely now what happened to my exhaust tube and the cables attached to the transom behind them. http://206.150.187.82/ubb/frown.gif

I'm hoping that someone out there has a good used OMC exhaust riser for an 89 460 King Cobra (right side - part #913584). I would rather not buy a new one. I would feel compelled to buy all new exhaust due to a symmetrical disorder I suffer from if I have to buy a new one. You know, the one that doesn't allow one to replace just the one leaky valve cover gasket without changing the other that is doing just fine. A lead on a low cost source for exhaust tube and controller cables would be greatly appreciated also since I want to get back in the water so I can take some video of our Donzi on Lake Chelan to share with you all.

Paul,
Also post your need for a riser in the wanted area so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle in this forum.

How does Banks Lake compare to Chelan? I've been going over to Chelan for years (OK, I'm only 26, but basically my whole life), and I swear, it's one of the most beautiful lakes anywhere. I haven't had the new Z over there yet - but I'm planning on a camping trip up the lake sometime in July. We'll also be over there on Labor Day, so I'll look for you. Maybe we should think about a NW Donzi gathering?

Eric-

Banks is more open and has almost no development on the shoreline. The water isn't quite as clear but it is defiantly warmer. There is almost unlimited beach space to have private gatherings or just to spend time alone in nature with ?????. http://206.150.187.82/ubb/biggrin.gif Steamboat Rock State Park is great, vary clean and has a wonderful day use area (big) with a nice 2-year-old dock system at the launch. Steamboat is about 16 miles north of Coulee City. You could make it there in about 4 hours if you drive straight through. If you want to talk about this more give me a call.

My battery died as I finished the above late last night. I was planning on posting in "Wanted" today.

Looks like not posting in "Donzi Talk" for a month or two lost me my "Extreme Member" status. I'm ashamed of myself. http://206.150.187.82/ubb/redface.gif
