I have a pair of Stainless Marine 4" baffles. Never used, now that my pipes are shorter never will use. Who needs them?? $ 10.00 to cover postage sounds fair!!! GEOO

Geoo. Do these fit in the end of the pipe or are they inline? I don't have room inline but my tips are possibly long enough.

If these are what I think they are, I'll take em. Are they the short baffles that slip in to the tip and are held in place with a small bolt and nut? My through the transom came with a pair, but my son (grrr) had the bright idea of replacing the bolts with plastic ties...the baffles are now somewhere on the river bottom.

Yes, These are Stainless Marine's slide in mufflers that are held in place with one bolt. I never used them. How well did your's work before they took the plung? GEOO

I have a set on my Z-25 that do a GREAT job. Before, it was a fight to see who would have to sit in the back seat and not be able to hear the stereo. I have noticed absolutely no difference in performance and the boat still sounds terrific.

I've been looking for a pair of something like these for my 18... But it has what appear to be just over 3" ID thru-the-transom pipes.

I could also use a pair for my 22. If these don't sell, please contact me.

Who sells these?

Thanks,

Geoo, with the new noise laws in Ontario (must show some attempt at silencing) it "sounds" like this type might work. I could stuff these in the end of my 4" Gil exhausts; there is a small bracket located about 2' in. I would appreciate it if you could tell me who the manufacturer is. Thanks

GEOO ... they seemed to work fine. Still had a good tone, not quite the "bark" I guess. Not too sure about impact on performance tho...never compared. Would like to buy them. Details? Thanks.

Jon & Al, you both seam interested in the baffles. OK let's start bidding?? $ 15.00 Do I hear $20.00. Joking!!! Click on the icon above and send me your mailing address. First E:mail get's the inserts. Is this fair?? If not we can do the other alternative.

Dave, Ross, These inserts are manufactured by Stainless Marine Company. They are made to fit Stainless Marine 4" Exhaust systems. They may fit other exhausts. They measure 3 13/16 dia. by 4 3/4" long. There number is (305)681-7893. GEOO

What other alternative? A match race? A water-borne game of chicken? Pistols at ten paces?

This sucks. I was the first to say I want to buy them, then some one-sided cyber raffle ensues to determine the winner. Christ. If you want to play the old boy game that's your business, but I wasted a bit of hope and energy trying to climb this slippery slope...for nothing. Bah.

It seems like the first to put his money where his mouth is should get 'em. http://206.150.187.82/ubb/biggrin.gif

The first person who posted that they wanted them should be given a week to get his money to you. If it doesn't happen then the next guy should given a chance.
If you want to hold a bidding war, then get your "ARSE" over to EBAY! http://206.150.187.82/ubb/biggrin.gif

I'm sorry about the confusion. I was only Joking about an auction. I'm not playing games here; I just wanted to get rid of these baffles!! I didn't think jon's post was a definite offer; "If they are what I think they are I'll take them". During the posts Al gave me his phone number and we spoke by phone and E:mail; he said he'll take them and gave me his address. I did what I thought was fair; the first confirmed response "offer" I gave them to!! GEOO

I will personally attest to GEO's character and state that I have no doubt he was just trying to do a nice thing here. He has offered many surplus parts at little or no cost to people on this site. Keep it up GEO!
