Hey guys,
Just got the Lake George Donzi Club's video. It is extremely cool! The first parts show some club stuff and about a bazillion Donzis which is pretty cool, but if you really want to see something extra awesome, the test drive of a new (in '98) 18' classic is incredibly cool footage. Its shot, I think from a helicopter and at one point he's running 75 mph. Its a real good up close look at the boat running flat out. The water is pretty smooth though. Might be cool to see some fast footage of one in some serious chop. Also, if you like videos of fast boat stuff, while I haven't spotted any Donzi's in the pack in this filmed race, pick up a copy of the old Elvis movie "Clambake." It shows the entire 1967 Orange ???? (...is it "cup"?) Regatta. Very cool footage of small fast muscle boats. Wonder if Don was there? I picked it up at Reel Collections. Pretty cool stuff!
