Like the garage photo. Would be incomplete w/o the Ford sign!

Don't put down those Fords. Mine ran for 19 years in salt water with only plug and point changes and always brought me home. The second one is seven years old and is still cranking out horsepower.

Hey Fonzi, Cool it!! You're giving us Chevy guys a bad name. Fords are OK, just not as awesome as a Chevy. However, I think I would trade my chevy for a HM 427, 500hp. GEOO

Real Donzis are powered by Fords and are operated from the port side, sorry there Mr. Happy Days.... http://206.150.187.82/ubb/eek.gif

Hmmm - Ford vs. Chevy - tough call. It's hard to beat the chevy for parts availability, costs, and pretty good reliabilty. But GEOO is on the money concerning the HM 427. I live on Lake Wylie in Charlotte, NC the home of Holman Moody and knew John Holman and others at the facility during the heyday of their factory racing efforts in stock car and the GT circuit campaign with the GT 40's and J cars. This is also when they were producing engine packages for Donzi. At the time I had two boats - A Rayson Craft flat bottom drag boat and a 22' SuperNova both with buddy-deal HM 427 blueprinted race engines. I would ring them out for them - they would tear them down for inspection and put them back in. Let me tell you - for absolute brute force and bottomless torque I've never had any other engine to compare! Just awesome!! Dave

ergo, unreal Donzi's are Chevy powered and are steered from the starboard side? Guess my '87 18 2+3 w/350 sbc and rh steering is unreal. Concur...man, is it unreal!

LOL HEEEEY, yeah, this is the fonz, so deal with it, http://206.150.187.82/ubb/tongue.gif but anyways, no need to get your panties all in a bunch ford guys, I just prefer Chevs over Ford.
BTW, I like to go FASTER http://206.150.187.82/ubb/wink.gif http://206.150.187.82/ubb/cool.gif

I just came back from South Florida where I interviewed Norris "Knocky" House who was Don
Aronows race partner for ten years,1960-1969.
He told me that he ordered Holman and Moody engines and when they arrived he would tear them down and rebuild them to his tighter specifications. Knocky prepared all of Aronows race boats and no one put a wrench near that boat without Knockys approval. This
interview was taped and will be produced
some time this year.

DonziDave -
Where are you on Wylie? My girlfriend's got a place in Tega Cay pouring distance from the marina. I've seen 2 classics out there besides my 16 OB. A white/red stripe 22 running near buster boyd, and a carolina blue 22(?) on a lift further north. Are you one of these?

Yeah! a 14 baby with 3.6 that would be cool, but sacreligious. Hey Scot if you really are a Porsche fan..I'll invite you to the races next time I'm at Texas World. I work on Porsche race cars for a living.
