A huge thank you to Nick Miller, VP of Marketing at Donzi!!!

I'm finally taking delivery on a new 28ZX that I bought on December 30th. I delayed delivery several times as there was no sense in rushing it with the lake still frozen here in Michigan. I also had to sell my 22ZX (congrats Daryl!).

This week I was having a minor dealer prep issue. Not totally unexpected when a new 2000 model year is being delivered in April of 2003. I called Nick with my concern and he and the customer service team had a solution in less than an hour. That was pretty impressive!!!

This is my second Donzi (second boat for that matter) and although I may not yet have the years of product loyalty that many Registry members do... I expect that I will.

Glad to see Donzi standing behind it's exceptional product!!! I hope to have some really good pics soon but here is a teaser - :D

Wow, that's a plush new ride to tear up the great lakes this summer! Nice to see a new Donzi arrive in Michigan. Now for the question everyone here wants to know. What's under the sunpad hatch to make this beauty move? Enjoy!

Twin 350 MPIs. - Not scorpions to be sure, but you gotta love the reflection graphics, and she has every other option. Can't get too picky when you are getting a great deal on a brand new 2000.

Hope to see 70...

Chris,
I had the same boat and graphics as your 28ZX sold it and moved up to a 33ZX with high roller graphics, I saw 72 mph with twin 350 MAGs. The more hours I put on the boat the faster it went. Good luck with your new 28ZX. Any questions let me know glad to help you out, had the boat for 2 1/2 years.

Chris,

Ain't that gunna be a little bit big for Higgins Lake? I tried like hell to get my friend to buy your 22 for his place on Houghton Lake.

Not the biggest... I've seen a 29 Outlaw with a big twin drive on Higgins. Big tri-axle trailer with a perfect launch off the west DNR launch. Incidentally that DNR launch is only 1 mile from my place.

Higgins will only be my home base the first year. I want to break her in for the requisite 10 hours and get a complete feel for the stepped hull handling. Anyone running for the weekend on Higgins this summer should drop me an email.

I admit that with 55mph restriction, Higgins will leave me VERY hungry. I'll probably make a couple of road trips to Grand Traverse Bay and maybe over to Bay City. Next summer I'll probably trailer out of Westland to St. Clair, Lake Erie, and parts unknown. I hope to meet up with all you Michigan guys in short order. What a blast!!!

Would definitely like to meet up turbo2256...

What are you running? Anybody else? There was talk of a Michigan event at Higgins Lake next year. We should get a list going so we don't miss anyone. If there is any interest I'll start a thread on it. :D

Chris, I know the members on the East side of MI get together a couple times a summer on St. Clair and I try to come up from OH if possible. There was some thought about a preAOTH get together in May.

Chris, can you, Frank or Bryan elaborate more on these windscreen *cracks*?
Is it the screen itself? the molded windbreaker?
or what?

Inquiring minds wanna know...not that the 28ZX I saw today had any.. wink

Chris I am sure it is, the link I posted was about fairings, if someone wants specific info on some issues I have had I prefer the phone, that is all.

Enjoy.
Bryan

PS, I agree, Nick is the man, he sure helped us out too.
