I PLUGED OF THE CHOKE AIR BLEED VALVE AND MY POPING STOPED AND THE BOAT RUNS FINE BUT I DONT THINK THAT WAS THE PROBLEM, PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT GUYS. THE CARB IS A HOLLEY 600cfm MADE FOR THE MOTOR, SHOULD IT BE REBUILT THE BOAT SAT FOR 2 YEARS. I DID NOT CHANGE THE PLUG WIRES OR CAP BUT THE CAP DID HAVE SALT DEPOSITS ON THE UNDERSIDE OF IT, I CLEANED IT. I DID CHANGE THE PLUGS, THEY WERE BLACK AND I REPLACED WITH FACTORY SPIECIFED ONES. ALSO PLEASE HELP ME MAKE IT FASTER, WHAT CAN I DO, K&N FILTER?, STUB STACK? BETTER CARB ECT.
THANKS BILL

Dam Donzi,
It sounds like your leaning out the engine. Have you changed your fuel filters? Drained any water out?
More Speed! Tell me more. Boat. Engine. Drive. Gear ratio, Prop. Max Rpm's????

The salt in the distributor cap didn't help any. I guess it has electronic ignition, if not the points could be a problem also.

Have faith in me, try swapping the coil out for one that you know works. It did it for me.

CHANGE THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP
Then while you are running check the coil and make sure it is not hot.
