View Full Version : Distributor caps???? PLEASE HELP!!!

Went to order new plug wires and distributor tune up kit (44.99 reasonable?) Can choose screw down or clip down? What years were what? Or is certain serial numbers with it one way? 4.3l Mercruiser, 1990.

on my old msd dist i could choose either one. the clips were spring loaded and were easy to pop off. i chose the screw down for running offshore. you should be able to choose either.

it'll be a screw down cap if she is still a TBOLT IV and yes 45 bucks actually sounds cheap for all those MERC parts

Thanks, were driving past the storage lot tonight, I need an excuse to go check on the boat...Your normally always right, but if I go and look, it will be pretty obvious right?
