Nice calm day on the lake yesterday so I thought I may see what top end is on new motor. Playing with the trim I maxed out at just under 50 on speedo (forgot to bring gps) and 4800 rpm with 15x17 aluminum prop. Should I be happy there since I rarely run fast anyway or could I change prop pitch for more top end?
Only you can decide if you happy or not but just to make sure what's the operating RPM range of your motor.
Sam wink
What boat, what motor and horse power?

1990 GT210. 5.7 OMC Cobra, pretty much stock motor. Not sure of max rpm.

Gator, A stainless prop will always out perform an aluminum prop. The aluminum props flex as speed increases and that changes the pitch. If I were you I would find a "OMC Raker" "19 or "21 pitch. they are a good all around prop. Good luck!
