On my 1983 Donzi 18 2+3, it has a flush mounted doching light. It appears to have been factory installed as the switch panel on the dash to operate it looks factory. It worked really well, it`s motorized and pops up from the deck. It is no longer working and the hinge mechanism is thrashed. I`d like to replace it but have never seen another one. Anyone know where I could find a new one to replace it with?

Thanks,
Kurt dcp01120jpg

Something like that was factory installed on the Criterions for a while.

I've seen them lately, maybe on eBay.

Mine broke due to someone lifting it to see what was under it The hinge plate broke. Made me a little mad, because I have a lever on it to keep it closed. Try abs glue or JB weld. I am going to try to make a hinge this winter, I will let you know the results.

Dude don't be such a tool!!! Call up the local Donzi Fix it guy (PAB) on the block and tell him that it can not be fixed. Pout a little bit and act all bummed out. Then stand back and hand him Buds and Hose B Quervo's.

Thought I'd bring this old thread back to the top. Too bad the picture is long gone. Still looking for a complete pop-up docking light assembly. This is a flush mounted motor driven docking/spot light that was factory installed on some early 80's Donzi's.

Any leads, greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Accon used to have an electric remote controlled version of their bow light but apparently it is not made anymore. Is this the one you all speaketh, except it is not remote anymore?

Doesn't surprise me that they discontinued it. It was a marvel of Rube Goldberg engineering IMO.

'Doh, you're talking transom light. I can never tell the difference of the pointy end and the flat end of a boat.

Kurt, I saw one at a dealer several years ago, but it is history. Like Poodle and Cliff we are working on a fix. I am trying to get the other stuff done first. The real problem that people keep trying to pick up the light to see what is under it. I even made a latch but people move it and still do it, this is what happened at George. The next issue is the hinge actuator is weak to say the least. I think my fix will work but I need time to do it. I will not remove the light because it is really useful and the second is I don't want to fill the hole.
