Yeah, I`ve been following it too. Looks like a real gem in the pics! Should be interesting to see what she brings.

Did you check out the 2002 18 2+3 also? There is no reserve and the bids are still relatively low.
Is this a board members boat????

-------Dont know the boat, but the back of the truck looks somewhat familiar.Red deck with white stripe is relatively rare by 1984.Boat does look very cool with the cockpit cover on.I can understand the number of bids,as it looks like it needs nothing........ol red!........Bill S

It looks like the same Donzi that was in the
boat trader online in Sept October. Reason I
say this is my Donzi is the exact same boat,
colors and all.The interior wrap around bolster
is a very nice addition to this year and the
reversed deck adds addition interest.I know I
get a lot of compliments from mine.If I was in the market for another Donzi I would be bidding.
Good Luck.

Bug,
I had a 1983 18 2+3 with the same pleated wrap around upholstery. Several years back there was another '83 with the same set up although that one had a factory 454 also. I can`t remember what it had for a drive though.

What's up with the trailer, there seems to be an awful lot of boat hanging over hte back end ???

Bunks a little long?

better than a little short

It's not so much that the bunks look long. it's more like the trailer is too short, and they had to add longer bunks. I'll be interested to hear what you have to say after looking at tomorrow Mike.
PS: for what it's worth... I think there are at least 2 shills in this auction, there are 2 bidders that have been involved in every one of this seller's last 6 auction items.

I am going to view her tomorrow. He offered her to me for a good price. I see what you mean on the trailer. The owner (he is the 3rd) said it came with the boat when he bought her and it works fine.

Mike....always the skeptic

------Maybe its just me but I dont think I would haul an 18 further than to the local ramp with a single axle trailer.I dont like the odds!!!!!!!!......dubious.....ol red!.......Bill S

Another view: I have hauled 18' Donzis since 1970 on single axle trailers and continue to do so today. One of the advantages of an 18' (over a 22') is the ability to use a single axle trailer (even without brakes if desired). Of course the design of the trailer and bunk layout is also important regardless of how many axles. Moving a boat around a garage is much easier with one axle as you know if you have tried maueuvering a tandem axle by hand in tight quarters. Just get the properly rated tires (also independent of # of axles).

It is much easier in the garage I will attest to that. I had no problems with the last single axel/ 18 combo trailering many hundreds of miles. I did a little research on Boxy's comments and he is right on target about the "Shills".

Hey Mike, I got the same "Mission Impossible" viewing instructions that you did on the weekend. It looks like somebody may have bought it, they ended the auction early, due to the fact that "the item is no longer avaialable for sale"

who bought the boat? the auction was cancelled. i figure someone here must have snatched it up.
