View Full Version : Engine Pictures
It has been a long weekend...didn't get back from getting the engine and dynoing till 2 am Sat morning.
Almost ready to go in the boat. Need valve covers, to install a few more things, and oil lines and I should be ready.

Does this guy ever attend class or study??? Not too much time put into those engines, drives, and Donzis!!!
Looks great Chris!!!
Ahhh forrest class is for girls...who studies anyway wink wink wink Don't you worry I put in my dues. Only thing I don't do is sleep...I average less then 6 hours a night...the beauty of youth.
:p
P.S. As long as my holes line up Stainless marine makes a top notch product. Instead of two people mounting the manifold and riser I did it with one hand. No more rusty cast iron, no leak prone manifold/riser joint, no nothing. I am impressed so far.... very impressed.

Chris,
WOW, pretty color. maybe a set of Keith E valve covers? WOW, and i agree, class is for the ladies, esp when we can do "Field Work" research

Christian
Plain Jane Polished aluminum valve covers for me. Simplicity ( aka cost)
Paint is the color of my boat. Yellow is Glasurit 22 line. Silver in PPG concept.

Chris,
Nice!!! Who's the model in the last pic???
Are you sure my NOS kit will fit??
I don't think you'll need it.

It's a work of art Chris, it looks like it screams just bolted to the stand.

Model is my stunt double...
Scream...bone stock....just a whisper....

P.S the above engine runs on 87 octane if need be...
I highly recommend Pro Action cylinder heads...they make alot of power on a stock engine

Chris that thing looks real sweet. I also have the pro action heads and they are real good. After seeing your motor I wish that I did not paint mine all black.
What are you getting for dyno numbers? You must have the roller setup in that beast. Keep up the good work and the pictures, it makes work go by a lot better!
Chris, I am so jealous! Ihave a 350 just waiting for your magic! I am planning on doing mine this winter when I have the time and the water is hard. I'm just going for a detail and some minor enhancements. Hope finals are going well for you.

Saw a pretty nice color scheme for the Superboat. http://forums.screamandfly.com/showthread.php?s=94b710fe43cbdd0c7d7c3d7f6ddc9385&threadid=13806
That is could be done...not so easy but hey that no matter. It would be best to do in base-clear with all those different stripes though.

LOOKIN' GOOD! :D
When you get her running check the spark arrestor for restriction

on my 350 @ 5000 rpm figuring 85% VE running a 10 inch diameter air cleaner / flame arrester you need 2 1/2 inches of element height...
I am more worried whether this damn thing will fit under the hatch. Went from a low rise manifold, quadrabog, and flame arestor shown to high rise dual plane, holley and same flame arestor. I will not cut through the hatch. I got my fingers crossed.

Chris-I'm afraid that if you don't modify that orange part, your X-dimension and hatch clearance are going to be serious problems......... :p :p :p wink
