I have a Bravo I with a low water pickup, seems like I suck up allot of sand, (low water near dock and drive trimmed up puts the low water pickup directly above the sand bottom) should I close of the low water pickup and open the stock water inlet?

What would I use to plug the low water inlet? Where are the stock water inlet holes on my outdrive?

Thanks, Phil

what Eliminator boat s does. Use the lowater pickup for a drive shower and put on a transom or hull pickup with a strainer.

I have a drive shower, are the stock high water pickup holes just "bondoed" over? and where are they on the lower unit?

Phil, no they are not there at all.
Buy a Stainless Marine transom mounted low water
pick up. I was having the same problem with my
Imco shorty lower and it is very risky,
as you my have "HOT SPOTS" now in the block
where the crud has settled.
Pull all the block drain plugs and power flush
everything.
