know where I could get some of this?
(Sorry for the lousy pic...it's the gasket type material to cushion the hatch...tube shape on top with a 1/4" slot on the bottom for attaching.)

Tony,

-----That looks like the weatherstrips on the barn doors of my old 89 Suburban.I have never seen DONZI use weatherstrip like that on an engine hatch. Are you sure it was there originally?..........Bill S

Hey Tony,
Guess we are among the few not at AOTH :( :(

Might try this place. If this is not right, I have some other sources I can find.

Tony,

I'm here with you in Michighan! What a crappy day here, 55 degrees and rain. Did you try a J.C. Whitney catalog, I should have one around here I will look in it for you.

Just got out on the Hudson before the Heavy Weather.
Fast, smooth, deserted and No body out for a thrill?
Hope they have better weather at AOTH than we have now ?
Rain, Wind, Waves!

Engine started up real slow,
then nothin
Found the problem,
no good contact on the battery cable, melted off with loose connect.
What a difference a good connection makes!

Try "Soft Seal". It looks pretty common. It comes in rolls, and you press fit it on and cut to size (install first, then cut). Here's the link:

I have a wedding this afternoon, a favorite niece. Even so, I considered AOTH until daughter decided to fly in from Boston for cousin's wedding. Heading out the door for beautiful Bartlesville, OK now. I didn't even manage to splash today.

Darrell: Was upper nineties here yesterday. This morning when I got up it was about 65. Felt cool. Which lake do you play on?

Fish & Flat,
Thanks for the leads...I think I found what I need at the JC Whitney site, haven't looked far enough into the Softseal site yet.

Bill,
No doubt it is not original, but it seems to do a good job of cushioning the hatch so that it does not thunk around underway.

Thanks again guys!
