Jkeefe,
Thanks a bunch. Sitin here in COLD OHio and appreciating the pictures tremendously. Looks like a great time was had by all. MadPoddle, looks like the X-18 is broke in and running top notch. Even though I own a Classic, the cruiser is a dynomite looking family boat. Nothin flys like a Donzi. Nice and level! :D  :D

Mark,
I had an awesome time!!!!
Every one is so fun and nice to be around!
thank you for putting it all together.
I really want to go to Lake George FL.
very soon.....please everyone make the effort
to be there. Everyone check your schedules
and post what works for us all.
Scott, thank you for the awesome ride today!
and for giving me the X-18 fever again.
Looking forward to the First annual
"SEADOGS" meet ASAP!
Jack, I am looking into supercharging now that your "MONSTER" 16 blew by me...
how much did that nitrous kit cost you?
I was running 87MPH when you passed me!!!
You might want to beef up your steering running those speeds now.
I deleted the post about Sanford and will
start a new one about lake George FL. when
we all agree on a date!
James, you guy's were great,
call me if I can help you.
Nate, cool Rabco....always fun with you guys.
Forrest and Big Gris and WayLo you missed
this one....no excuses accepted on the next
one....be there or be square!

I'm sorry I missed one especially a good one. I do miss my Donzi brithers and sisters. I had some other commitments, I just had to get done. With thoes speeds I'm goind to can the blower motor and put in a old engine from slitly bent up F16, that didn't land well.

Whishing i had been there.

Geoo.
Sorry, this was a digital movie my son
was taking of Ted from Marks 3250. They were doing about 45 and I came by at WOT. At the
end of the day we were looking at the clip and Ted humored me. This was a good fantasy
and since we live near fantasyland. We must
have got caught up in the illusion.
Nothing special, except being a Donzi.
Having more fun than I expected, Jack

I see that I did miss the fun. We got back in to Ft. Lauderdale too late on Saturday from a ten-day cruise on the Zaandam to make it up to Palatka. We'll be ready for the next one!

Now Jack, without doing a shot of Nate's Jagermister, put your hand on a stack of Donzi catalogs and swear to tell the truth . . . how fast???

riverrat
11-12-2001, 04:14 PM
that '16 is how fast? with what power? Man I thought Ted's '22 was the fastest classic around. Great pic's guys looked like fun!!

also,I guess the air shots were jumping wakes. NO FEAR!! gotta luv it! :D :D

So this means forrest pocket rocket isn't the fastest 16 anymore. I still think Geoo has the fastest classic at 95.2. As far as I can tell the fastest 22 is the one in lake George with the HP500 whipple with Ted not far behind. I am hoping my procharged ASD-6 22 will be up there as well. Well I guess that means the cat is out of the bag... I just got a Procharger for a Carbed 454 or 502...still no engine but I have the blower...backwards huh.

Ted,
You made me a legend in my own mine.
With good wind, strong current, cool temp,
low humidity, and light chop I can possibly
get double nickel. May not be real quick
but with good camera shots it looks good.
The air pic's are real. Jack

Jack, I saw your boat launch a few times,
you dont have to tell me the shots are real!
your boat was formerly owned by Evel Kinevel.
Seriously....you need to wear your kill swich
lanyard all the time! I do....and I have seen
the tragic results when not worn!
Everyone WEAR YOUR KILL SWICH LANYARDS!!!

Ted,
Have had Jetski's and it is always on.
Cliff,
A little tricky, the channels are sometimes narrow, and real shallow outside. Plus all the crab traps. But was able to keep my shoes dry.

Thanks, Gang,
I really appreciate the comments on the boat. I really LOVE this one (well, I REALLY love my 18, too). I stop every morning on the way to work and on the way home to see it in it's slip and go aboard and just, well, touch everything and walk the foredeck and go below to sit at the setee and just absorb it. It is just amazing the power it has over me. I won't be trading off the 18 either, but it is just comforting to have this bigger boat and know I can go anywhere, anytime, and get there quickly, comfortably, and safely. Yeah, it sucks down the gas pretty good when you open up the throttles, but I have never had a complaint about the boat being short on any feature. Even Jen took a turn at the helm at Palatka. She had never driven ANY boat, was a bit apprehensive to take the helm, but her complaint wasn't the boat, it was the surprise drafting her to the wheel that worried her. She was awesome for a first ty at an already fast moving boat, in tight traffic, on strange water. I sat next to her and felt completely completely relaxed, even with a novice at h wheel. Says a lot for Jen, says a lot for a great boat.
