Boldts and Loopped posted these tips under Donzi Girls - I thought I would hi-lite them here for a more general distribution.

Here is what I (boldts) do to post pictures and I'll try to keep it simple by listing 1, 2, 3.
1. Copy your picture into a program like Microsoft Image Composer and size the picture to 440 pixsels wide by 280 pixsels tall. This is a good size yet is not so big that it spreads the picture off the screen.
2. Once you have set the size of the picture, then save the picture with a name like: davido01.jpg or doxxxx01.jpg (I don't know your last name, but you can also name the file by using your last name and first initial.)
3. Once you rename the file, save it on your computer harddrive. I use a folder called Pictures on my computer's C drive.
4. Upload your picture file to Donzi.net. At the top of the page you are looking at on donzi.net is a red button called "Photo Posting" click on it and a new page will appear. You will see a "Browse" button. Click on it. You will now be looking at the files on your computer. In my case, I find the C: drive. Double click on it, then double click on my "Pictures" folder. In this folder, I select the file that I just renamed to: sboldt01.jpg. In your case, it would be a file named: doxxxx01.jpg. You can change the numbers as you add more pictures to donzi.net.
5. Click on the "Upload Your Picture" button and your picture will be added to donzi.net.
6. There are 2 ways to place your picture in your post. They are:
7. Type the location of your picture in your post. EX: http://www.donzi.net/photos/doxxxxx01.jpg people who view your post will have to click on the http:// link to see your picture.
8. If you would like to have your post show the picture with-in it, do the same as #7 except put in front of the link and after the link like the following:
http://www.donzi.net/photos/doxxxxx01.jpg

Other tip from Looped - The key is to try and make a jpg file that is no larger than 600x450 (even 640x480 can be too large for some viewers) and make it at a max of 75k in memory size (any larger can take too long for people connecting with modems).

And don't forget - look up near the top of your browser - the Harbormaster has provided a "Photo Posting" button that leads to more instructions.

And I concur with Looped and Boldts - try to avoid the really big photos - hard to view and too long to download. Also, online screen viewing does not need high resolution since our (my) monitors are not capable of displaying high resolution. Shoot for small file sizes online, use high resolution when you want to print a photo.

Speaking of printing digital photos, www.shutterfly.com (http://www.shutterfly.com) provides a great service for printing digital photos - they come out looking like regular 35mm film photo prints if you upload a high resolution file (something like 1200 x 1600) to there service.
