Take a drive down to Howell NJ...About an hour south of Staten Island. You can see a 14 in person... before the restoration. Plus you get to see Chris's (CMDA) fresh paint job on his 22 project. Also my 68 18.

I will dig some pics out, my buddy owns one and I use to take it out all the time. What a blast to drive, he had a 4cyl 170hp I/o in it and it did around 55. It was defiently 14ft and you could take her into a corner at full throtle and just crank the wheel, it would turn on a dime. The pics will be from some time ago since he hasn't taken it out of storage in a long time, 6- 8 yrs. I believe he wants to repower it and hasn't had the extra cash to do it.

Thanks Jim

Jim,

Thanks. The sixteen looks short to me, I can't imagine what the "Baby" looks like. Sounds like a nice hairy ride at top end! Cool. Looking foward to the pics.

Scott,
Thats the one, are you the one who inquired about purchasing it? I have known Doug for about 24 years and I believe he picked it up a good 5 to 6 years before that. We ran the boat down around Niantic and on the CT River. What a blast to drive, we ended up buying a 18' classic as well
but I alway's enjoyed riding in the 14'.

Thanks Brad. I'd gotten those from the Lake George Donzi Club's website, but the ones you turned me onto are probably better quality. I've seen the red one and the one with the open bow. Any others out there?

Jim,
Yes I tried to buy that boat last year. I offered him a nice chunk of cash also. I guess Doug really didnt want to sell it. He is a great guy to talk with! Tell him I said hello and the offer still stands.

Eric,
I finally dug some pics out on the 14' donzi, I will post a couple more later today. The quality isn't the greatest since the photo is a little old.

The picture was taken at lake champlain, had taken her up near Burlington a couple of times.

Jim,

Thanks for the pics! Very cool. I bet it's a blast of a ride. My first boat was a 12' crackerbox with a V6 Buick. You can see it at www.geocities.com/Kool_Toyz (http://www.geocities.com/Kool_Toyz) It didn't turn well at speed though. I bet the Baby Donzi turns on a dime.
